Margaret L. “Marge” King, 77, of Jamesville, died on February 18, 2021 at Van Duyn. She had retired as a professional nanny and raised many children. In her younger years she enjoyed motorcycles and was a member of Unity Church. She was pre-deceased by her parents Gerald and Ruth (McCrae) Abbott and twin sister Mary Abbott Smith. Marge was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother survived by her son Timothy (Cyndi) of Chittenango; grandchildren: Chelsey (Michael) Bolduc, Connor & Tanner King; and great-grandchildren: Aaliyah, Charlotte and Riley. A private memorial will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. ◼︎

Philip L. Adams, 43, of 5296 Minto Rd., Boynton Beach, FL, formerly of 350 Crossett St., Syracuse, died Saturday at Bethesda Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Philadelphia, Pa., he was the son of the late T. Raymond Adams, Jr. and Mary S. Adams. He lived in Syracuse most of his life, moving to Boynton Beach three years ago. He was an army veteran and a graduate of Central Technical High School, Syracuse University, Carnegie Technical and American School in Switzerland. He was member of the Presbyterian Church. Surviving are his mother, Mary S. Adams of Boynton Beach; and a sister, Louise A. Carpenter of Portland, ME.

Flora Aloi (Tassone)

Flora Ann (Aloi) Tassone, 82, passed away Friday, October 17, 2025, at Upstate University Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born in Syracuse, daughter of the late Biagio and Sara (Coco) Aloi, Flora was an Elementary Teacher in Parish for over 30 dedicated years.

Along with her parents, Flora was predeceased by her two aunts, Gloria Bodine, and Frances Scuderi.

She is survived by her children, Nicodemi Tassone, Jr., Charles (Christine) Tassone, and Vincent Tassone; and a sister, Joann Aloi.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, October 24, 2025, from 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, immediately followed by a funeral service in celebration of Flora’s life at 12:00 P.M. (noon) at the funeral home, 3401 Vickery Rd. (Corner of Buckley Rd.) N. Syracuse, NY. She will be laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum.
