Arlene Lucille Rohadfox, 75, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully and went home to be with the Lord, September 12, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. She was a member of Tucker Missionary Baptist Church. She was formerly employed for many years at General Electric and Lockheed Martin until retiring in 1997. She also worked at Rothchild Early Childhood Center. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, two brothers, Darvin and Clifford Rohadfox Sr. and one sister, Lois Rohadfox, who died in infancy, and her long-time companion, Thomas Averett. Arlene Lucille Rohadfox leaves to mourn her passing, cherish her memory and celebrate her life, one loving, devoted daughter, Michelle Denise Rohadfox (Phil Moore) of Syracuse; two sisters, Dorothy A. Wright and Linda J. Rohadfox; one half- sister, Jamie Washington of Charlotte, NC; five grandchildren, Jabril P. and Teanna Moore, Patrice Williams, Tre and Jasmine Williams; two great-grandchildren, Tayla and Tamia Williams; one aunt, Gloria Wilson; one uncle, James Wilson and a host of loving, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, including Rosita Williams (Randy) who she loved and considered a daughter.

Syracuse, NY 13219 • 9/2021 • Age 79(September 24, 2021) William A. Rollinson, 79, of Syracuse, passed away Friday at Upstate Community Hospital. A graduate of Central High School, William worked at New Process Gear for 31 years, Syracuse University for 15 years and the Oncenter for 12 years. He was a member of the UAW, an avid golfer and sports fan. When William was younger, he was an incredible athlete. He played fullback in football and was a key utility player in baseball. He loved children and coached Babe Ruth baseball as well as grade school basketball. He had a love for life and people. He loved to make people laugh. He was famous for his Godfather and Elvis impressions. No matter where he went, he would run into someone he knew. He was always willing to help others. William was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Rita Rollinson; and sister, Ann Marleen Kelly. Surviving are his daughters, Cyndi Rollinson of Painted Post, and Pam (Chris) Teufel of Dresher, PA; grandchildren, Michael and Paul Millow, Paige, Collin and Parker Teufel; and brothers, Michael (Kathy) of Mariposa, CA, David (Patty) of Syracuse and Mark of Liverpool; and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call Monday, October 11, from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. A public graveside service will follow at 11 a.m. in St. Agnes Cemetery, Syracuse. George Roof, 62, died Monday, May 24, 2004, at Georgetown Memorial Hospital. Mr. Roof was born in Syracuse, N.Y. on June 10, 1941, a son of the late George Jacob Roof and Ruth Elizabeth Sullivan Roof. He grew up in Auburn, N.Y. and Syracuse and was an Eagle Scout and an Air Explorer Scout. Mr. Roof graduated from Central Tech High School, attended National College in Kansas City, Mo. and Union College in Barbourville, Ky., and graduated from Scarritt College in Nashville, Tenn. He also attended Emory University in Atlanta, Ga. and served as a United Methodist minister in Ky., N.Y., and S.C. for fifteen years. Mr. Roof earned a Masters of Education from the University of South Carolina in Columbia and was employed by the Georgetown Co. Board of Education from 1971 until his retirement in 1996. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Surviving are his wife, Myrna K. Eggensperger Roof of Georgetown; two sons, George David Roof and his wife, Lorraine of Hanahan, and Mark Kevin Roof and his wife, Jeanine of Easley; a daughter, Karen Christine R. Becker and her husband, Joseph James of Raleigh, N.C.; two brothers, Dalton James Roof of Syracuse, N.Y., and Ronald Lynn Roof of Raleigh, N.C.; a sister, Marleah Ann R. Reed of Auburn, N.Y; three grandchildren, Myranda Frances and Caroline Grace Becker, both of Raleigh,N.C., and George Christiansen Roof of Hanahan; two step-grandchildren, Kelly Elizabeth Becker and Joseph Phillip Becker, both of Raleigh, N.C.; and several nephews and nieces. Mr. Roof was predeceased by a grandson, Davidson Curry Roof. The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 26, at the Georgetown Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 29, at the Goodard-Crandall & Sheppardson Funeral home in Syracuse, N.Y. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens in De Witt, N.Y.
