John F. “Jack” Coughlin, 64, of Clay passed away Tuesday.He was employed part time as a licensed adjustor for Sam’s Auto Body and Service Center for many years. He was a member of both the Callimachus Masonic Lodge #369 F&AM in Phoenix, NY, and the Shriners. He enjoyed collecting, repairing and selling model trains.He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Lorraine E.M, of Clay; son Eugene “Jano” (Melissa) Coughlin of Fulton and a grandpuppy Indy of Clay (who was his best buddy); father in law, Eugene Martuscello, Clay; brothers, Robert (Joanie) Coughlin, Clay, Howard (Joan) Coughlin, Washington, DC. He is survived by many close friends who “Jack” considered family.

Diane Ruth Cox, 71, formerly of Syracuse, passed away Wednesday in La Plata, MD. Diane lived in Syracuse until moving to Sun City, Arizona in 1995 and most recently lived in Maryland. A 1961 graduate of Central Technical High School, she was a 1963 graduate of Central City Business Institute and retired after 24 years with Niagara Mohawk. She was an animal lover and did pet sitting for much of her time in Sun City. Surviving are her sister, Kathleen Kijak of Windsor, CT; brother, Kevin Cox of Pomfret, MD; and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call Friday, January 2 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Services will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Diane will be laid to rest in White Chapel Memory Gardens, DeWitt. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Humane Assn. of CNY, Inc., 4915.5 W. Taft Rd., Liverpool, NY 13088. Kenneth T. Czarnecki of Pompey, passed away on Monday surrounded by his loving family. He was a graduate of Central Technical High School and retired after 34 years from Carrier. He was a member of The Woodcarving Association and the Pompey Rod and Gun Club. Ken was a true outdoorsman enjoying hunting, fishing, gardening, and animals, but his greatest love was for his wife and family and especially his granddaughters. He was predeceased by his parents; and his brother, Francis. Ken is survived by his wife of 44 years, Barbara; a daughter, Christine Czarnecki; a son, Tom (Amy) Czarnecki, all of Pompey; two sisters, Phyllis Reaume and Dorothy Kolb; a sister-in-law, Noreen Czarnecki; a brother, Charles; two granddaughters, Devin and Erinn and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be 7 p.m. Friday at the Eaton-Tubbs Fayetteville Chapel. Burial will be private. Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, 7191 E. Robert J. Darby, 66, of Liverpool, loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away on Sunday. Born in Syracuse, Robert worked at Cambridge Filter for over 30 years and most recently at New Venture Gear. Robert will be remembered for his generosity and compassion for others. Robert was best known for his love of classic cars (his infamous 1964 Sprint), boating and spending time with family and friends. Robert is survived by his wife, Donna; son, John P. (Kristin) Darby; daughter, Janice (Dave) Webb; his grandchildren, Erin, Patrick and Megan; and siblings, John F. Darby, Carol Kromer and Patricia Stever.
