Elizabeth D. Kuebler, 81, of Westmont, Illinois, passed away on February 10, 2025. She was born on April 20, 1943, in Syracuse, New York to Bertrand and Elizabeth Dunham.

Beloved wife of 54 years to Richard A. Kuebler, loving mother of Erin (Daniel) Piscitelli; cherished grandmother of Kelsey Kuebler, Catherine (Luke Mahnke) Piscitelli; Christian Piscitelli, Cameron Piscitelli and Kira Piscitelli.

Betsy was employed by Elmhurst University, Elmhurst, Illinois for 46 years between 1967-2013. And in fact at the time of her sudden departure in 2013 she was the longest ever employed administrator to date at the University.

Her dedication and passion were reflected in her work, which she loved beyond measure! She cherished all her colleagues and friends at the University. Betsy was genuinely interested in helping students fulfill their goals at Elmhurst, and passionately perused many a counseling session with students and parents. It truly broke her heart to have to leave her position at Elmhurst University, which at the time was Director, Office of Graduate Admission. Betsy had a wide network of friends and admission councilors from many near and far colleges and universities.

Betsy enjoyed her tenure at the university and was involved in many on and off campus activities. She loved her involvement with Faculty Women and Wives, planning card parties with her friends at the University. She loved her family and was very proud of all her five grandchildren! They were never far from any conversations she would have.

She will be greatly missed.

Jerald Emmons

Jerald Emmons (Lynn (deceased))

Deceased  • 8/9/2023 • Age 80

Jerry E. Emmons, 80, of Pennellville, joined his wife, Lynn, in heaven on Wednesday, August 9, 2023.

Born in Syracuse on May 15, 1943, he was the son of the late Elaine Pilger and Jerry Marshall Emmons. He graduated from Central Tech High School in 1962 and served his country as an Army National Guard combat engineer; he later owned and operated a very successful statewide baby photography business.

His best days were spent on the water, with a fishing pole in one hand and a Pepsi in the other.

He was predeceased by his wife, Lynn; his daughter, Jennifer; granddaughter, Grace Emmons; and sister, Patricia Hannay. Surviving are his daughters, Stacey Emmons, Cody (Adam) Almeter; sons, Shawn (Jean) Emmons, Dr. Jerry (Colleen) Emmons; nine grandchildren; his dear cousin, Diane Ladd; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at Manlius United Methodist Church, 111 Wesley St., Manlius, NY 13104. The burial will follow at Manlius Village Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his name to CNY SPCA, 5878 E. Molloy Rd. Syracuse, NY 13211.
