David Moorhead of Port Charlotte, FL, died on December 2, 2019 after a brief illness. David was born in Syracuse to David M. and Dorothy Moorhead. He attended the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry and had a career as a landscape architect in the Syracuse area for many years. After retirement David worked at the Rescue Mission Shelter in Syracuse. He had a genuine compassion for the homeless and continued to work with them at the Jesus Loves You Ministry after he moved to Port Charlotte in 2012. David is survived by his wife, Judy, their children Tracy (Joe) Polio, Todd (Denise) Moorhead and Carrie (Phil) Nelson; granddaughters Jocelyn Sypek, Adriana (Tyler) Michaels and Grace (Joe) Fantanarosa and great-grandchildren Kaylee, Braylon and Eliana. He is also survived by his brother Dan (Debbie) Moorhead. There will be a service of worship and remembrance at St. Andrew’s Anglican Church in Nedrow on Sat., August 22 at 11:00am. Because of the potential risks of Covid 19, there will be limited seating, masks required, and no reception following. A life resident of Syracuse,Miss Morgan was a manager of Coleman’s Florist, Inc. for the past seven years. Surviving are her mother, Florence L. Morgan, a brother, Donald J. of El Paso, TX; two sisters, Elizabeth Sutton of Syracuse and Elaine Mueller of Mondovi, Wis. and several nieces and nephews.

Dolores Morgese), 67, of North Ridgeville, OH (formerly of Elyria) passed away Monday, December 6, 2010, at The Renaissance in Olmsted Township. She was born August 14, 1943, in Monopoli, Italy. Dolores was the Director of Child Support for Lorain County Children’s Services and retired in 2008, following 32 years of service. She was a member of Temple B’Nai Abraham in Elyria. Survivors include a daughter, Suzanne Igo of North Ridgeville; a son, Jason Ack (Toni) of Strongsville and three grandchildren, Charlie, Annabel and Owen. Additional survivors include four brothers, Joe (Joan) Morgese of New Jersey, Vito Morgese, Lenny Morgese and Tony (Marie) Morgese, all of New York.Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, Vito and Anna (nee Palmitessa) Morgese. There will be no visitation. Funeral services will be 10 A.M., Tuesday (Today) December 7, 2010, at The Laubenthal- Mercado Funeral Home, 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57) Elyria, (440) 322-4626. Rabbi Lauren Werber, of Temple B’Nai Abraham in Elyria, will officiate. Burial will be at Agudath Achim Cemetery in Amherst Township. John F. Morris, 79, of Punta Gorda, FL, passed away peacefully at home on February 14, 2022. He was born in Syracuse, son of the late Faris and Margaret (Lawand) Morris. John served with the U.S. Army reserves. He retired after 28 dedicated years as a police officer with the Syracuse Police Department. John was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Punta Gorda, FL and the Elks Club. He enjoyed boating, fishing and hunting. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings: Ferris E. Morris (1998), Mitchell J. Morris (2009) and Charles S. Morris (2008). John is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Patricia (Kalinowski) Morris; his daughter, Katherine M. (Jacob) Gram; a stepson, S. Rand (Angela) Fuller; four grandchildren: Aaron M.T. Holt, John Alex Gram, Andrew and Helen Gram; two great grandchildren: Jaxson and Elena Holt; several nieces, nephews and cousins, and his dog Nora. Lou Anne Nachtscheim Konseck, 48, of 8246 Cottonwood Court, Liverpool, died of cancer at St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center. Mrs. Konseck was born in Syracuse and lived in Liverpool 20 years. She was a telephone operator 25 years with the New York Telephone Co. Mrs. Konseck was a 1961 graduate of Central High School where she was a member of Alethean sorority. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. Surviving are her husband, Lynn A.; two sons, Martin D. of Richmond, Va., and Bryan M. at home; a daughter, Sherry A. Andrews of Liverpool; her stepfather, Joseph Daniels of Florida; two sisters, Dawn Evans of Florida and Joddy Young of Texas; and three grandchildren. Services at Maurer Funeral Home and St. John’s Church, Liverpool where a funeral mass will be celebrated. Burial is in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Minoa.

Ms. Emma Ethel Lockett, 71, of Syracuse, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, at St. Joseph’s Hospital. She was a member of Hopps Memorial CME Church. She was formerly employed as a Sheriff’s Deputy with the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Department for 33 years. She leaves to cherish her memory one devoted daughter, Candace K. Lockett of Syracuse; one sister, Mary Poole of Philadelphia, PA; two aunts, Laura Ervin and Elleather Seward, both of Syracuse; and Marie McCullough of Andrews, SC; two uncles, Clemon Dunmore and Jesse Dunmore, both of Rochester, NY; three loving nieces, Tashia Poole, Mariah Morris and Jewel Morris; cousins, including a special cousin, Linda Ervin, who she considered a sister and a friend. Calling hours will be Friday, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Hopps Memorial CME Church, 1110 S. State Street, with funeral services to follow at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
