MaryLee J. Giocondo, 77, of Liverpool, died on Sunday at St. Joseph’s Hospital. She was a graduate of Central Tech. MaryLee retired as a claims adjuster from Home Insurance and formerly worked for General Accident Insurance and INA. She enjoyed crafts, knitting, crochet and watching baseball. She was the past-president of the Pulaski Post 1650 American Legion Auxiliary. Her parents Leo and Mary Fisher are pre-deceased. MaryLee was a very loving person, especially with her husband & children. She is survived by her loving husband of more than 58 years, Frank “Fran” Giocondo; children: John, Kim (Bill), Leo (Kim), Francis; 11 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. There will be a private service for her immediate family at the Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home and interment in Woodlawn Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Vincent dePaul Church, 342 Vine Street, Syracuse 13203. Anthony R. Gandino, 64, of Liverpool, passed away Saturday at home. He was a graduate of Syracuse University with two master’s degrees in social work. He was a captain in the U.S. Air Force, serving during Vietnam. He was a social worker for 34 years with Berkshire Farms Center for Youth and had worked for Forensic Consultants. He was a communicant of St. Joseph the Worker Church and was an avid fisherman, hunter and photographer. He was predeceased by his father, Anthony, in 1970. Survivors: his mother, Helen Gandino DeMascio; wife of 42 years, the former Marian McConnell; daughter, Elizabeth (William) Brown; sons, Christopher (Tracey), Richard and Anthony (Mary); grandchildren, Anthony, Timothy, Maryann, Theresa and Brandon; brother, David (Cheryl); and many nieces and nephews. Memorial Mass: 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph the Worker Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions to St. Joseph the Worker Church, 1001 Tulip Street,Liverpool, NY 13088.
